Dear Friends,
You might remember that in my last update, I was just getting over a nasty cold. Well, just as I was getting over that, I got sick again! Not fun. Thankfully, I’m feeling mostly better now, though it’s taking a little longer to get my strength and energy back.
But I have some wonderful news to share! We’ve now received $19,875 toward the $20,000 needed to purchase both buildings—just $125 to go! Altogether, 42 people have given. I’ve been so encouraged and overwhelmed by the kindness of so many friends.
Taking that step of faith to purchase the adjoining property felt like a big stretch for us. To see how the Lord has provided has meant so much to me and our team. He is faithful, and He knows what we need!
To everyone who has prayed with us and everyone who has given, thank you so much. Your generosity is helping us make room for the children, young people, and adults who gather here each week. I’m so grateful to each of you for being part of this.
The tenant currently renting the second building asked if they could have until the end of January to move out, and we agreed. Once they’ve moved, we’ll be able to begin making the two spaces work together.
Any gifts beyond the $20,000 purchase cost will help with the work ahead: opening up the space between the buildings, leveling the floor, repairing the roof, and taking care of other needed repairs and improvements.
There’s still work ahead, but I’m thankful for how far the Lord has brought us already. Thank you for walking alongside us, praying for us, and caring for the people we serve here in Laguna. It means more than I can say.
